‘Titian: Love, Desire, Death’ at the National Gallery with lecturer Paul Pickering
Paul Pickering has once again generously agreed to donate his time and expertise to the BSS for this event, which will have a short Q&A at the end.
The ‘time of Coronavirus’, socially distanced viewing experience of these works as they seem to engage in ‘conversation’ with each other across the room, indifferent to the mortals who pass through, is to be confronted with the tragic view of the human condition expressed by Gloucester in ‘King Lear’: “As flies to wanton boys are we to the gods”.
Thursday 19th November 2020 at 18:30 UK Time
Joining instructions, with a link to the Zoom site, will be issued shortly before the event. You do not need to have loaded the Zoom App on your computer or phone. The link we send is sufficient.
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 19th November at 6:30 pm UK Time!
The charity the BritishSpanish Society is run by a team of hard-working volunteers. During these challenging times, we are working even harder to carry on offering quality, engaging, interesting and entertaining events for our members and friends as best as we can under the circumstances.
Kindly consider supporting the BritishSpanish Society with a small voluntary donation so that we can continue our important mission of building bridges and promoting cultural links between Britain and Spain. We are very grateful for your support. Thank you!
