In this MC we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of a Universal Basic Income, now more relevant than ever, as our societies become more digital, more automatic and more robotic, and try to understand the main levers and conditions that could make it possible. We will also explore some of the major problems inherent to the shareholder capitalist model, such as the emergence of global monopolies richer and more powerful than many nations, overexploitation of natural resources or increasing income inequality in many countries, and analyze how stakeholder capitalism could resolve some of these shortcomings. Can a combination of both UBI and Stakeholder capitalism be the answer?
