The UK’s only bar serving exclusively Rioja wines is launching soon and you’re invited!

Come and taste some of the wines and food and celebrate the new home of Rioja in the UK! Award winning restaurant operator and hispanophile Richard Bigg ,founder of Spanish restaurant group Camino, and a member of the Gran Orden de Caballeros del Vino de España is opening the UK’s only Rioja bar that will exclusively serve wines from Spain’s finest and most famous region, Rioja.The new bar will launch on 8^th June in the Victorian Courtyard in King’s Cross (3 Varnishers Yard, The Regent Quarter, King’s Cross, London N1 9FD)and will take over the site of the iconic Bar Pepito. Bar Rioja is set to serve over 40 Rioja wines by the glass (using Coravin) spanning all Rioja zones and styles. Richard loves the region and its fabulous wines, from the most traditional to the most modern expressions, and has put together a list of favourites spanning abroad range of styles. He wanted to give people the opportunity to immerse themselves into a Spanish mini wine heaven with walls of wines from Rioja.It was a lot of work but of course huge fun putting the list together and there is something for everyone from entry level wines right up to the show stopping wines at £180 a bottle. All the wines will be available by the glass in taster and glass size measures of 75ml and 125ml so that the customers can really see and taste the diversity that Rioja has to offer. Designed by B3 Designers the bar is intimate yet full of character set on the sunny side of the courtyard. Bar Rioja will serve pincho style food reminiscent of Calle Laurel, the famous street in Rioja’s capital Logroño.
